French cities with Crit'Air zones

From January 2026, all French cities over 150,000 population require a Crit'Air sticker. Here are the ones UK drivers visit most.

Paris

Permanent ZFE

Most complex zone. Crit'Air 3 banned weekdays, 24-pass scheme for occasional visitors.

Lyon

Permanent ZFE

Two-zone system. On the main route south - unavoidable for most UK drivers heading to the Med.

Marseille

Permanent ZFE

Newer zone with gradual enforcement. Covers city centre, port, and Calanques access roads.

Strasbourg

Christmas market destination. Cross-border with Germany, excellent park-and-ride options.
